Risen like the proverbial Phoenix from the rubble of all that used to be good about the comedy website cracked.com, the You Don’t Even Like Podcasts Network started life as the Unpops Podcast Network way back in 2016.
Before that, it was just a podcast called Unpopular Opinion, which initially launched in 2013.
Unfortunately, it turned out lots of people thought “Unpops” and “Unpopular Opinion” would be good names for their projects as well. So, to cut down on the clutter in the podcasts-called-Unpopular-Opinion market, the network rebranded to You Don’t Even Like Podcasts … at some point, I don’t even remember exactly when it was. Probably 2022-ish?
Who am I? I’m comedian/writer/editor/host/friend Adam Tod Brown!
I used to work at the aforementioned Cracked.com. And Playboy (all my work there seems to have vanished from the internet).
I’ve also written for outlets like Vice and Uproxx, performed at the New York Comedy Festival, opened for the band Portugal. The Man, appeared on the season three finale of History’s Greatest Mysteries, and lots of other fun stuff!
The opportunity to launch a podcast network just sorta fell into my lap when I was unceremoniously fired by my employer in 2016. Since then, the network has released more than 3,000 podcast episodes which have amassed millions of downloads.
